Dave Frankel

Most people in the Philadelphia area remember Dave as the morning weatherman on Channel 6-ABC. Dave's broadcasting career spanned four decades and included Emmy® awards for his work as a reporter and news writer. Dave has been a news anchor, investigative reporter, and contributor to the ESPN newsmagazine Outside the Lines.

Dave began his legal career at Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads in Philadelphia. As an attorney, Dave has represented broadcasters and other creative professionals, negotiating their contracts at every level of the industry, from local news to national networks. He also has experience in civil litigation, serving clients in government and business. His First Amendment defense work includes representing both broadcasters and publishers. Dave frequently uses his background in journalism and media to guide his clients through their interactions with the news media - whether getting their message out or managing a public legal crisis.

Dave has been an adjunct professor of Contract Drafting at Villanova Law School and currently serves on the Alumni Advisory Board of the Villanova Sports & Entertainment Law Journal. Dave's passion for public service focuses on education and the needs of children. He is a spokesman for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, the pediatric cancer fundraiser begun by Alex Scott. Dave helped establish the Magnolia School for Autistic Children and served on the Board of Directors of Leadership Philadelphia and the Radnor Educational Foundation. Dave graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in Government. He received his law degree, cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law, where he served as an editor of the Sports & Entertainment Law Journal.

Josh Kershenbaum

Josh brings to his law practice a keen legal mind and a passion for justice. He combines knowledge, experience, and commitment to advocate for his diverse clients, who include individuals, small and large businesses, colleges and universities, and municipalities.

Josh has broad experience as a litigator handling matters in areas as diverse as First Amendment defense, personal injury, breach of contract, eminent domain, civil rights litigation, and trusts and estates. He has extensive experience representing families and children with special needs, advising clients on all aspects of their children's educational rights, including those under IDEA, Section 504, and other federal and state statutes. Josh represents clients at IEP meetings and Administrative Due Process hearings, in settlement negotiations with school districts, and at all stages of litigation. His Special Education clients benefit not only from his experience as an attorney, but also from the valuable perspective and knowledge he gained in his previous careers as a public elementary school teacher and as an advocate with the Pennsylvania Health Law Project.

Josh trains parents, attorneys, and support professionals in special education law and advocacy, and teaches the Special Education Law seminar at Temple University's Beasley School of Law. Josh is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Legal Services for Exceptional Children Committee.

Josh represents colleges and universities on a broad range of legal issues - from Clery Act compliance to commercial contract drafting and litigation - and helps them craft and implement internal policies and procedures on a wide array of subjects, such as record retention and student discipline. Josh began serving higher education institutions as a law clerk in Temple's Office of University Counsel and as a member of the Temple University Disciplinary Committee.

Before establishing Frankel & Kershenbaum, Josh was an attorney at Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads in Philadelphia. Josh received his J.D., cum laude, from Temple University's Beasley School of Law, and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Amherst College. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
